About Me
Who am I?
My journey in education over the past 20+ years has been influenced by the remarkable people I've encountered from diverse backgrounds and nationalities.
Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio in the United States, I pursued my undergraduate degrees in Spanish and secondary education, followed by a Master’s in ESOL, all at American University in Washington, DC.
I have lived and worked in the United States and South Korea, but Buenos Aires, Argentina has been my home since 2009. I'm also a mom to two beautiful neurodivergent sons, a wife, a cooking aficionado, a bookworm, and above all, a lifelong learner.
My philosophy of education partially has to do with the three “Rs”- that is, if the information being presented is RIGOROUS and challenging to the student, REAL-WORLD related, and personally RELEVANT to the student’s interests, it will ultimately be more valuable and stay with the student long-term. This is what I strive for each of my lessons to be like.

Just as each student is different in their motivations for learning English, they are equally distinct in their learning objectives, strengths, and interests. Therefore, I do not implement a single style or methodology when I teach; my goal is to best fit the needs of my students.
